Reasonably good breakfasts, the stay was such great!
Greatly enjoyed Beijing, the hotel was quiet little very near the subway. The room was functional and cheap; the bed was lovely. A shower and a hairdryer were a plus.

The location was perfect, situated in a great hutong with a delicious roast duck restaurant right across the street. The staff were helpful and available 24 hours a day, and they even spoke English, a huge plus. The private room I stayed in was clean, comfortable, and had heating to keep me cozy. Another bonus was the late checkout time of 2pm, made my stay even more convenient. Plus, it was easy to explore the nearby main streets on foot or take a cheap cab ride to central Beijing. I highly recommend this hotel for its great location, cleanliness, and helpful staff.
The only minor drawback was that I wish they had mentioned in the email or sent a reminder beforehand that a 200 deposit in cash was required.

the friendly staff, cleanliness and central location.
sometimes overly concerned with following the rules; sometimes lack of sense of privacy (i.e. touching and removing stuff from our room while being away)

The room was ok, a bit small but comfortable. The staff was nice and helpful. There were 2 shared computers with internet connection at the reception. Also many shops and small restaurants near the hostel. Tours and train/plain tickets can be booked directly at the hostel.
Only chinese channels on TV. The location is not very central, there is a 15-20 minutes walk to the Forbidden City from the hostel.
